Kate's New Christmas Apron

This apron was this months sewing project for FAB FRIDAY at church. Little Miss loved it from the minute she saw it, and did not want to take it off. What is also great is that I have a matching one too...

Halloween

What an awesome night. We had so much fun eating and hitting the neighborhood for treats.

Family Time

What fun we had when my brother and family came this Oct. to visit. We went to the zoo, pumpkin patch, and of course the Tenn/Ga game. We didn't want the weekend to end.

Friday Field Trips

It has been a very crazy time for us right now. I have not had a lot of computer time, but I had to put some new pics of the kiddos on here. We have went on a couple of field trips. We went to Natchez Trace State Park and the Fire Dept. And yes, Bo-Bo does have a broken arm.

Gracie, This One is For YOU!

Our dear sweet Grace-Ann let Ms. Nesbit have her fabulous black dress shoes. She loves them! Thanks Gracie!

First Day of School!

Our first day was a day to remember... We got up and had special first day of school pancakes (with candles of course)! Most of the school time with Marcus went smooth. I think he liked all the special attention just on him. However, the other two saw this as a time to get into things that are usually off limits. Let's see... they dumped a box of Bisquick on the floor. Then Kate separated the all the paper plates and unwrapped a value box of bar soap. But, the icing of the cake was when I found them in the bathroom. They had dumped the trash can in the toilet, along with the toilet paper. They were then throwing wet toilet paper all over the walls. Where did they learn this? I mean it looked like the job of a twelve year old boy. Since that first day things have been getting easier. Marcus loves Science and Math. I can't wait to see all that he is going to learn this year and I am so thankful that God has called me to teach him. Oh.. what I would have missed:)

Sunday Sew!

Oh what a great day yesterday was. Lazy day at home and some sewing. I thought little missy could use a new swimsuit for vacation. I think I might have enough fabric to make her a mini skirt to wear with it. There was no pattern here. I just took a bathing suit that fits her and made a pattern from it.

I love this bag!

I made this bag this week for the ladies at G's work. I love when someone calls and says "I need a gift and you just pick it out." It is so much fun to go to the fabric store and not spend your husband's money:)

July Came and Went

This month just flew by.. My brother and his family came for a visit. We had tons of fun and much needed laughter:) One of my favorite moments was my brother and my man trying stand on each others shoulders in the pool. Let's just say they failed, but not in effort.

We had M's 5 1/2 birthday party. It was a blast! I am so thankful that God has blessed him with terrific friends.

This month was Flipt at our church (thats our bible school). It met every Friday night this month. I am really sad that it is over. Our whole family looked forward to going each week.

A Weekend of Firsts!

This weekend was full of firsts. My little man had his first skating party. I was so excited since I was going to be the one to take him. I haven't skated since college and I was up for the challenge. But, I guess I wasn't thinking about how difficult it might be teaching a rather large for his age 5 year old. We get there put on the skates and within ten minutes I was reminded of the time I took his daddy skiing for the first time. There was alot of falling, throwing his head back, and yelling at me. Let's just say he made it about half way through the party on skates, then we resolved to running around the rink with our crocs on:)

The second first was Bo-Bo went to the potty!!!!!!

The last first for the weekend happened last night. I was putting up laundry when I walked into Sunshine's room and found her and her daddy having a tea party! I am so certain that was his first! I think my heart is still a puddle in the floor of her room:

Boys and Potty Words

Why do boys insist on saying, what we call in our house, "Potty Words?" My little Bo-Bo has gotten in a habit of asking me daily if he can say "Poopie, Poopie Pants, etc." So today was no exception... He came to me morning and said, "can I say Poopie?" I then said, "No, Bo-Bo we don't say potty words." He then said, "yes I can. I say Poopie and Poopie Pants." I then said it again "Bo-Bo those are potty words and we try no to say them." Totally frustrated that he didn't have the freedom to talk about those things, he took a deep breath and yelled "I want to say stink words!" Thank God for Boys!

Little Sunshine

Little Sunshine is dressed for church. For this dress I used the round neck dress pattern from "That Darn Cat." I dedicate this one to Shelly... Thanks girl:)

Daddy Discipline

The boys were arguing with one another and Daddy had heard enough. He looked at the boys and simply said "put your shoes on we are going outside." He then did what he had heard his Paw had done in years past. He made them stand and hug at the end of the driveway, waving at the cars that past by. Love it:)

Box Day!

In homeschool world "Box Day" is the day your curriculum comes. My big boy is so excited to start Kindergarten. He is most excited about Science. I am thankful that God has blessed us with fun things to learn about this year.

Happy Birthday Momma!

Who says you can't have cake for breakfast!

My favorite dress as of today:)

This is my favorite dress as of today. I have just a few more things to do on what I think will be my new favorite dress. Stay-tuned... I am sure Ms. Priss will wear it on Sunday!
